"The Steve Smith Project"
The episode cold opens with a parody of Alfred Hitchcock, with Roger dressing up as him assuring viewers that it will get pretty crazy if not funny (and that viewers can skip the boring parts if they're watching it on VOD platforms). The episode properly opens with Steve, Hayley, Roger, Snot, Barry, and Jeff in line to watch their anticipated horror movie sequel, Killer Krusader II: The Knight of the Living Round of Terror, only to walk about disappointed for finding out that it was a boring sequel and almost a shot of shot remake the first Killer Krusader. They come up with their own horror movie idea by going to Langley's Lighthouse, a place which Jeff thought that it was named after the 2019 Robert Pattinson movie, and where a hook handed guy is living next door.
Once they get inside, they tell their own horror movie ideas; Steve and Roger's tale is about a little boy (played by Steve) and his father (played by Stan) fishing in the lake but are disturbed by an evil cat-like catfish creature (played by Roger); the next idea is from Hayley and Jeff about them working at a hospital during a post-apocalyptic zombie pandemic; the final idea is from Snot and Barry about a killer fancy dinner at Ambassador Claud (played by Principal Lewis)'s house. However, their stories were interrupted once they heard some loud noise next door. Curiously investigating, they find out that the hook handed guy is real and they fear for their lives. When they realized that they're just six against one, they start brutally killing him only to realize that he was a war hero during WWII, Korean and Vietnam wars and that he was trying to take out the garbage. In the state of panic, they buried the body, only to realize that his wife was there, so they buried her too. They also buried the car in the process.
The next morning, Steve and Hayley are still traumatized for last night and that they shouldn't say anything (with Roger keeping his mouth shut due to him focusing on his persona being the spokesperson for Yahoo). Francine calls the two, both on edge, that they forgot to take out the trash, she was about Liam Neeson in the film she's watching, and was listening to the Don McLean song, "American War Hero (Six Guys Buried Him)." During school, Steve, Snot and Barry keep being denial about the incident and started arguing with each other. Hayley, at work at SubHub, also argues with Jeff on the phone (both being in denial). This leads to the night that they meet back at the lighthouse with shovels, body bags, knives, guns, etc.
The fight commence only for them to realize that this is actually their idea for their horror movie. The movie gets made and it sucked, though it made Langley a safer place once they found out that the war hero was actually a sexist, homophobic, racist thief who stole medals for a living, has been beating his wife, and has killed several people back in 2002. In a sigh of relief, Steve, Hayley, Roger, Snot, Barry and Jeff go out to Arby's to celebrate his death.
Meanwhile, Klaus shows Stan and Francine his new glasses to impress his date, Danuta. Unimpressed, Stan and Francine plot an idea to get rid of these glasses. The plan backfired once his glasses had fire lasers.
